Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (02 February 2025)
Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our first weekly card pull for the month of February!
Did January feel like it went on for far too long to anybody else, or was it just me? Admittedly, I live in the United States so it might feel differently elsewhere, but here has been... interesting, to say the least. (I'm sure you all know if you've been paying attention to the news. You don't need me to tell you that.)
This is largely why I selected the Cozy Witch Tarot Deck for our divination reads this month. If the art style looks familiar, that's because it's done by the same people who did the Believe in Your Own Magic Oracle that I've been using for the past couple of months. I'm quite fond of those two decks as the art's pretty cozy and feels like a warm blanket, and, well... I think we're going to need the coziness in the coming weeks.
Now, before we get to this week's reading, please make sure you are all nice and cozy before you continue reading this post. This is not necessarily a reflection of what card will be drawn. In fact, I'm typing this bit before I've even drawn a card. However, I find that coziness helps put me in a better space to receive whatever message the cards may have for me.
Also, please remember that this is a general reading for the collective. It might resonate with you or it might not, and that's fine. Take what you need from this or don't. It's entirely your choice.
Now that we've gone through our reading preamble, let's get into our card for the week and answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"
Our answer comes in the form of the reversed Five of Swords, and this feels like an interesting one for this week.
While this card could be that you're simply trying to avoid a conflict that's been following you, I don't think that's the case here. It's hard to look at this card and not feel like things have been let go.
Being more drawn to the people on this card, two situations feel more likely to me than others.
The first is that some sort of disagreement or conflict took place between multiple parties that ended with things being said and everyone feeling as though they needed to go their separate ways because of it. You might feel caught in the middle between the people involved or perhaps you were directly involved yourself, but regardless, conflict was had and quite honestly, no one won.Â
Alternatively, the conflict in question took place long ago and situations have occurred that make you feel as though those old wounds are reopening. You might feel history is going to repeat itself or that you haven't really moved on from whatever brought you to this point.
In either case, the advice of the Five of Swords is the same: consider how you can create some sort of growth from this. Would it be best to create some sort of compromise between the parties involved? Is now perhaps the best time to try to contact those people you lost and bring them back in? Or are you mourning a relationship lost that would it be better for everyone involved if they just moved on with their lives?
There's no one size fits all sort of solution for this, unfortunately. As with all things, time needs to be taken to determine what works best for you, but once you figure that out, don't be afraid to move forward.
