Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (06 April 2025)

Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our first card pull for April! We're now into spring, which is incredibly exciting. I won't lie. It's kind of fun seeing nature come out of dormancy outside our windows.

But it's a new month, which means a new deck for our weekly reading! This month, we're bringing back the Threads of Fate Oracle. My edition is specifically the Shadow Edition of the deck, but it seems as though the publishers no longer sell this one. In fact, it seems the Threads of Fate shop on the whole is going out of business. It's sad, really, because this deck and their others really are beautiful.

As always, before we get to this week's reading, please make sure you are all nice and cozy before you continue reading this post. This is not necessarily a reflection of what card will be drawn. In fact, I'm typing this bit before I've even drawn a card. However, I find that coziness helps put me in a better space to receive whatever message the cards may have for me.

Also, please remember that this is a general reading for the collective. It might resonate with you or it might not, and that's fine. Take what you need from this or don't. It's entirely your choice.

Now that we've gone through our reading preamble, let's get into our card for the week and answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"

Our answer comes in the form of Compassion, and while it would be easy to claim this is a card that indicates we all need to be more compassionate to ourselves this week, that's really only part of it.

Compassion is also a reminder that sometimes, people project their own pain onto others. Now, this doesn't mean you put compassion towards others ahead of thoroughly processing whatever hurt was committed towards you. It also doesn't mean that you must have compassion for every single person that may have hurt you. Sometimes, those who have hurt us can and will hurt us again, and there's nothing wrong with cutting those people out of your life if needed.

However, Compassion also calls us to examine parts of our lives where we may need a little more compassion. Does that need to be directed towards ourselves? Others? Have we built up walls that don't serve us any longer? Do we need to build some for our own self-care?

Take some time to consider this this week and please don't forget to be compassionate towards yourselves. You're worth it.
