Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (06 August 2023)

Greetings, gremlins! It's time for our weekly card pull!

This is something I like doing on a weekly basis for the collective, just for fun. As someone who reads tarot and oracle cards (not just in a professional capacity), it's a fun way to practice, but also give you all a little something extra.

And yes, I do this every week. I try to switch up the decks every month just for the fun of it (mainly because I have quite a few decks in my possession).

The question, for reference, is usually, "What do my followers need to keep in mind this week in order to keep living their best lives?"

This week, our answer comes in the form of the King of Cups.

Now, Cups as a suit deals more with our emotions, focusing primarily on our relationships, love, feelings, and connections that we make with others. This being one of the court cards for this suit, this feels especially important this week, especially since the King tends to be focused on our emotional stability. In fact, he and the dragon depicted on this card, seem to be the picture of being calm.

That's not saying you need to be perfectly calm this week, though. See, the king is balanced. He's not purely emotional and he's not purely logical. He's aware of his emotions. He's found the balance between his heart and his head. This is what makes him a good leader. He can empathize, but still make the decisions he needs to make.

You may want to consider taking some of that for yourself this week. Emotions might run high this week, and when a lot of us are in that position, one of several things might happen. The two most common things, though, are that we act purely on emotional instinct or we try to suppress those emotions and try to act as logically as possible. Both of these can be to our detriment, so try to consider and be aware of both this week.

Given that this is a court card, though, this might actually point to someone you know in your life. Do you know someone like this? Do they try to stir up drama or try to avoid emotional conversations? Perhaps treat those people with a bit of caution this week.

If you enjoyed this post and are perhaps interested in acquiring a reading of your very own, I do keep tarot commissions open over on my Ko-fi.

I also have a shop full of all of the commission readings you can find up there, plus a couple of extras I won't be sharing anywhere else. You can find it over here.
