Weekly Divination: What to Keep in Mind This Week (06 November 2022)
Greetings, gremlins! It's time once again for our weekly card pull from some sort of divination deck.
This week, we're joined by the Wildwood Tarot. I was recently reminded how much I like working with it, although the trump cards always throw me off a little bit. But you're not here for any of that, are you? Nope. You're here for the card!
This week, we're joined by the Queen of Vessels, and... yikes. This week isn't going to be easy for any of us, is it? In the Wildwood deck, the Queen of Vessels is represented by salmon, which most famously swims upstream to get to its birthplace to spawn more salmon. It's not an easy feat by any means, but they do it every year without fail. Most of them are just outright exhausted by the time they get there providing they survive, which is a surprising act of self-sacrifice.
Perhaps you are like this salmon, deeply caring and kind and willing to give all of yourself to see a dream come true. That said, I'd caution you all, dear readers, to not burn yourself out in the process of giving birth to something you might love.
Please don't misunderstand. There's nothing wrong with putting your time, energy, and devotion into something. This is, after all, how some of our best creations spring forth into the world. However, it IS possible to put too much of yourself into it to the point where you keep giving whatever it is more and more of yourself until there's absolutely nothing left of yourself to give. You're important, too, and you owe it to yourself to put some of your own time, energy, and devotion back into yourself.
(I'm also noticing this is a reoccurring theme with these cards as of late. Have you noticed that, too?)
Again, it's okay to throw yourself into whatever you're working on. It isn't going to be easy, and when you get to the other side, you know it's going to be worth it. Just don't burn yourself out in the process, readers. That isn't good for you or for anybody else. <3
Remember to take care of yourself. You're worth it.
