Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (03 August 2025)

Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our first card pull for the month of August! (When did we get this far into 2025, y'all? I'm genuinely not sure.)

As it's a new month, we're bringing out a new deck and it's the Cozy Witch Tarot Deck! If the art style looks familiar, that's because it's done by the same people who did the Believe in Your Own Magic Oracle. Personally, I think it's just as cozy as the oracle deck is, and I kind of want to sit in the cozier vibes for a bit.

(There's no deeper meaning here, folks. I just want to stay cozy.)

As always, before we get to this week's reading, please make sure you are all nice and cozy before you continue reading this post. This is not necessarily a reflection of what card will be drawn. In fact, I'm typing this bit before I've even drawn a card. However, I find that coziness helps put me in a better space to receive whatever message the cards may have for me.

Also, please remember that this is a general reading for the collective. It might resonate with you or it might not, and that's fine. Take what you need from this or don't. It's entirely your choice.

Now that we've gone through our reading preamble, let's get into our card for the week and answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"

Our answer comes in the form of reversed The World, and while this card could herald the end of a cycle, that's... not what this is.

We've done a lot so far in 2025. Maybe there's something you've been working towards that's coming to an end or has already ended. Maybe you finished a particularly tough year at school or your coming to the end of a career you've held for a particularly long time. Logically, then, the next phase involves letting yourself revel in your accomplishment, feeling whatever emotions you're feeling about something coming to an end, and then getting ready to move on to whatever comes next.

Except that's not what's happening here.

Right now, you may be in a phase where yes, something is coming to an end, but you can't possibly imagine what your life would be like be like without it. You might be so used to being where you are that the thought of whatever-it-is suddenly not being there anymore is unthinkable. So instead of moving forward, you're keeping yourself stuck where you are where you still have this thing instead of letting yourself move on and embracing whatever might come next.

If moving on is difficult, sit with it and let yourself figure out why that is. Would something be missing? Are you maybe letting past experiences distort your perception of what comes next? Do you have closure? Figure out what you may need, and then try to tie up those loose ends if you can before trying to move on.

And remember it's okay to be scared of what comes next. Change can be absolutely terrifying, but nothing grows or flourishes by remaining stagnant. You can't be the best version of you that you can be by effectively burying your head in the sand.
