Weekly Divination: What to Keep in Mind This Week (03 July 2022)
It's a new week, and a new month, in fact, which, of course, means it's time for a new card pull for the week and a new deck to be read with!
Given that we're on month seven of the year and this is the seventh deck I've pulled out to read with, you might think to yourself that I must have a lot of decks, but I wouldn't say I do. You also might think that card readers like myself must have a lot of decks, but we're varied. Some of us absolutely have a lot of decks they read with while others only have one or two. It depends on the reader, and no one way of doing it is better than another. It's really whatever works best for the reader.
But I'm rambling a bit. Let's get into our card.
This week, I elected to use my Ethereal Visions deck. (Can you make out the gold foiling? I think it's easier to see in person than it is on camera.) And we're coming out the gate strong with the Two of Swords, which tells me there's some sort of decision to be made this week. However, given that the first place I'm drawn to on this card is the face of the blindfolded woman, one of several things is actually going on here.
The first option is that you might not be aware of all the details surrounding the aforementioned decision. This isn't exactly a bad thing, but you may want to ask some more questions before you choose between the options represented by the swords she holds. How can you possibly be expected to make a decision on anything without all the information in front of you?
The second is that you do have all the details, but you're still not sure which option to choose. Depending on how challenging this decision is that you're trying to make (maybe a move? A new job? Who can say, save for you?), there might not even be an immediately obvious or easy answer. But if you sit down and take the time to weigh the pros and cons, I think you'll find it. And when in doubt, listen to your intuition. What is it telling you about this situation?
The last, and somehow the worst, is that you put that blindfold on yourself to avoid making a choice at all, and, well, that's not great. Not making a decision is still making a decision, and instead of getting anywhere new, you're just kind of stuck between options. And do you really want that? (I've been there for a while, so... trust me. I don't even want it. You'll like it even less.) Whatever decision you're avoiding isn't going to resolve itself. You can only put things like this off for so long. At some point, you'll need to make a move on it.
No one likes making decisions, particularly difficult ones, but they need to be made. So if you're putting it off for whatever reason, don't. Try to make that decision this week. You'll feel better for having done it. (Maybe not immediately, but you will eventually.)
