Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (05 October 2025)

Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our first card pull for the month of October! This isn't exactly "peak fall", but I know October is a sacred month for many this time of year. After all, this is when we start seeing more pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pie, and the month even ends with the sacred day of Halloween. What could be better?

(And before anyone asks, yes, Halloween is sacred. I am a witch, after all.)

As it's a new month, though, that means we break out a new deck for our monthly readings. While I strangely don't have an appropriately spooky deck to conduct readings with this month (yet), I do have a more witchy deck that felt appropriate to break out, so please allow me to introduce you all to the Cozy Witch Tarot Deck. If the art style looks familiar, that's because it's done by the same people who did the Believe in Your Own Magic Oracle that I utilize for vibe checks while streaming. I'm quite fond of those two decks as the art's pretty cozy and feels like a warm blanket.

And, well, let's be honest. The coziness mixed with the spooky/witchy vibes is absolutely me.

As always, before we get to this week's reading, please make sure you are all nice and cozy before you continue reading this post. This is not necessarily a reflection of what card will be drawn. In fact, I'm typing this bit before I've even drawn a card. However, I find that coziness helps put me in a better space to receive whatever message the cards may have for me.

Also, please remember that this is a general reading for the collective. It might resonate with you or it might not, and that's fine. Take what you need from this or don't. It's entirely your choice.

Now that we've gone through our reading preamble, let's get into our card for the week and answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"

This month, our answer comes in the form of the Six of Cups!

Now, this could be a call to treat yourself with the compassion you weren't given. After all, how other people treat you can impact your own perception of yourself and lead you to believe you don't deserve certain things. You might believe you don't deserve anything good because of that, but the truth is that you do. Now is the time to start unlearning those things and releasing those beliefs that have been tying you down.

The Six of Cups can also be calling upon you to bring something back from your younger days. Maybe revisit a hobby that you used to love but let fall by the wayside as you got older or revisit somewhere from your younger days or even calling upon an old friend. However, this card also cautions against living in the past. Revisiting it is fine, but dwelling on it means you might remain stuck in it for far too long.

If you enjoyed this post and are perhaps interested in acquiring a reading of your very own, I do keep tarot commissions open over on my Ko-fi.

I also have a shop full of all of the commission readings you can find up there, plus a couple of extras I won't be sharing anywhere else. You can find it over here.
