Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (05 November 2023)
Greetings, gremlins! Welcome to our first weekly card pull for November!
Today's another one of those days where I'm legitimately sitting here wondering where the heck the time went to. I have the feeling there are only going to be more of those as we get closer to the end of 2023, and if I'm being honest, I'm not really looking forward to it, but here we are.
But enough preamble! You're all here for the weekly card pull.
This month, I revisited a deck I utilized earlier this year: the Threads of Fate Oracle. It's a stunning deck and I'm trying to let myself use it a bit more for reading purposes, so I figured this was a good opportunity. Besides, I'm sure you all don't mind me practicing a bit more with these posts.
So without further ado, here's the answer to our almost usual question, "What do my followers need to keep in mind in order to live their best lives this week?"
This week, our answer comes in the form of Self Love, and right out the gate, I have to say that I'm absolutely in love with this card. The peacock in the center of this card looks freaking beautiful, and I can't help but feel like the bird knows it, too.
In a way, humans are kind of the opposite of peacocks. Peacocks aren't really ashamed of who they are. They look fabulous, they know it, and they have absolutely no problems showing that off. Human beings, on the other hand, start off thinking we're fabulous, but over time, we lose that. We're conditioned to doubt ourselves, to think of ourselves as being less than we are. I can think of more than a few personal examples where I purposely changed aspects about myself as a teenager just to avoid ridicule, and I'm sure several of you can think of similar moments in your own lives.
When this happens, especially when we do this to ourselves, we tend to lose track of who we actually are. The things we want for ourselves become things other people want for us and we believe we want those things, too.
In this case, Self Love isn't about the usual pampering we tend to think about when people talk about self-love, but rather taking steps to find ourselves again without the expectation of getting anything from it. It's loving ourselves as we are in the moment we're currently in, regardless of what we're currently going through and regardless of how we might feel.
People aren't perfect, and they don't need to be. Neither do we. We can love ourselves and still be very flawed beings and that's okay.
Take time to check in with yourself this week, preferably multiple times a day. Figure out what you genuinely need in that particular moment and see if you can let yourself have that thing without gatekeeping it for yourself. You might think otherwise in the moment, but trust me: you are worth it.

I also have a shop full of all of the commission readings you can find up there, plus a couple of extras I won't be sharing anywhere else. You can find it over here.
