Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our first card reading for April! I suppose one could make the argument that last week's was the first reading for the month since it was on the very last day of March, but that feels like a technicality to me, personally. 

Anywho, you all know the drill! A new month means a new deck to mess with! This month's deck is the Threads of Fate Oracle (specifically the Shadow Edition), which I think is absolutely stunning. The artwork is a lot more simplistic compared to some of my other decks, but I'm quite fond of it.

But let's answer our usual question, shall we? As always, the question is "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"

Our answer this week is Underworld, and it serves as a reminder that all things, even our own lives, are often in periods of transition. Right now, we're in a period of our lives where anything that is no longer serving us needs to fade away and be left behind in the figurative Underworld where they belong.

This is often the part that a lot of people (myself included) have issues with because it's so easy to say, "Yes, I've left this thing behind that isn't serving me," or "Well, this doesn't really apply to me." However, it does apply to all of us whether we really want it to or not, and we're all guilty of lying to ourselves about what we've let go and whether or not we're genuinely ready to leave those things behind.

There's also a tendency to feel like we keep finding ourselves at rock bottom to the point where all you want to do is pull yourself out of it before you're actually ready to do so, and if that applies to you? Please do not do that to yourself. You are where you are right now for a reason and rushing things isn't going to help you in the long run.

This week, consider taking some time for yourself. Give yourself permission to exist in this transitory place and accept where you're at right now at this very moment, not where you're going to be next week, next month, or even this time next year. Everyone and everything has to go through this Underworld, after all, and trying to rush it isn't going to teach us anything in the long run.

Will it be uncomfortable? Maybe. But right now, like it or not, it's where we need to be.
