Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our first proper card pull for the month of October! We're now officially in spooky season, although if I'm being honest, I'm always in spooky season mode. October, however, is peak spooky season: the time of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pumpkin Pie, and the sacred day of Halloween. 

Yes, Halloween is sacred. I am a witch. What did y'all expect?

As it's a new month, though, that means we break out a new deck for our monthly readings. While I strangely don't have an appropriately spooky deck to conduct readings with this month (yet), I do have a more witchy deck that felt appropriate to break out, so please allow me to introduce you all to the Cozy Witch Tarot Deck. If the art style looks familiar, that's because it's done by the same people who did the Believe in Your Own Magic Oracle that I utilize for vibe checks while streaming. I'm quite fond of those two decks as the art's pretty cozy and feels like a warm blanket.

And, well, let's be honest. The coziness mixed with the spooky/witchy vibes is absolutely me.

Now that we've met our deck for the month, it's time for the reading!

As always, let's answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"

Our answer comes in the form of the reversed Patient Witch, this deck's take on the Hanged Man, and in looking at this card, I'm getting the feeling that we're all waiting, but it's not a very patient sort of waiting. This is the kind of waiting where we're creating patterns in the rug or on the ceiling, the kind of waiting where we're desperate for something to do because the thing we're waiting on is out of our hands.

Now, it's possible that you've acknowledged this and you're just tired of waiting. Whatever it may be you're waiting on (be it someone else or the universe or what have you) seems like it's dragging its heels and you're so ready for this thing to be done now that you're almost tempted to try to manipulate things so whatever this thing is you're waiting on happens sooner.

Please do not do this.

Whatever it is you're waiting on will happen when it's supposed to happen and no amount of coercion or manipulation will make it happen sooner.

Of course, it's possible that we're past that point. Maybe you did manipulate things and now things are more stuck than ever. Maybe you're so dedicated to your vision and whatever your plans may be that you tried to adjust things so they happened sooner, but just created more delays in the process.

It's okay. It happens to the best of us.

However, now is not the time to try to force things. If you tried that and you've run up against more walls than you were anticipating, that is exactly why that's not a good idea. Now is not the time to be stubborn about it. It is okay to let things happen. You don't need to force it. It's okay to step back and let the chips fall where they may.

I promise you everything will be fine and whatever this thing is you're waiting on will not collapse if you wait for a little bit.
