Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (10 November 2024)

Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to our second card pull for the month of November.

I'll be honest with you, gremlins. This week's card pull almost didn't happen. If you've been paying attention to the news, the past week has been kind of rough for those of us in the US, and I'm one of those people who has been having a hard time getting out of my own head with regards to everything that's been going on. I wasn't sure I felt right posting a card for the week with everything feeling like it was on the verge of collapse.

But then I realized that's exactly why I needed to post a reading for the week. Even in the darkest of times, divination can help bring some sort of guidance to a situation, and I think a lot of us may need that right now.

So without further ado, let's answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"

Our answer this week comes in the form of Withdraw, which may seem counter-intuitive, but I promise you that it isn't. This card is a reflection of the animal kingdom in winter months, where many have prepared for the cold and the snow by storing up food and supplies to get through the hard times.

As we're going into a colder, darker time, we are reminded that we, too, must be prepared for the dark times ahead. Preparation can look like almost anything, but one key ingredient in all of this is you as an individual and your own needs.

Ask yourself: what do you need to get through these darker times? How can you shore up your own strength for whatever is to come?

Remember that this is something you need to figure out for yourself. You might think that this is something you need to consult with many people on, but it wouldn't actually be productive to do it that way. Sometimes, other people can color our own perceptions of what it is we need, whether they intend to do so or not. And sometimes, the people around you might honestly not have your best interests in mind. You can certainly look to others when you've worked out what exactly it is that you need to do -- and the best way to get through dark times is together -- but it is perhaps not the best idea to do so during the decision-making process.

So this week, focus on what you need and what would make you feel safest. Once you have that, then you can get back out there and put things together, but until then, take a step back and make your plans.

And remember: you are seen, you are loved, and you have every right in the world to take up space.
