Weekly Divination Reading: What to Keep in Mind This Week (05 January 2025)
Greetings, gremlins, and welcome to the first card pull of 2025! Can you believe it's a new year? I'm honestly not sure I can.
As is kind of tradition at this point, we're sticking with the Believe in Your Own Magic Oracle for this month. This is partially because there's a lot going on over here and oracle cards are a bit easier for my brain to process, but also this is a new year. We're still not even sure what the vibes for the year are, let alone for the month, and if there's one thing the Believe in Your Own Magic Oracle has been surprisingly good for with me, it's vibe checking.
Before we get into this reading, though, a couple of things:
-
This is a reading for the collective. It might resonate with you or it might not, and that's fine. Take what you need from this or don't. It's entirely your choice.
-
Please make sure you are all nice and cozy before you continue reading this post. This is not necessarily a reflection of what card will be drawn. In fact, I'm typing this bit before I've even drawn a card. However, I find that coziness helps put me in a better space to receive whatever message the cards may have for me.
That said, let's get into our card for the week and answer our usual question: "What do my followers need to keep in mind to live their best lives this week?"
Our answer comes in the form of Dragons, and no, we're not necessarily talking the cool dragons we know and love from your favorite piece of fantasy media.
While I can't speak to specifics because everyone reading this is going to have a different situation come to mind, there is something going on that feels almost insurmountable. The first place my eyes go on this card are honestly to the dragon perched on top of the castle, which also makes me question whether whatever is going on is impacting someone's safe space, whatever that may be. The dragon could be a toxic person in your life, or a walking red flag that you're only just now noticing. The dragon could also just as easily be some sort of situation that feels overwhelming to you to deal with. Someone could also just as easily be mistreating someone you know.
And while the card does specify "slay them all," please do not literally slay anybody. That could get you into a whole lot of legal trouble.
What you can do, though, is recognize that whether you acknowledge it or not, you actually have the skills to handle whatever this situation is.
If a person is involved, let them know that their bullshit is neither wanted nor needed. If that person is a partner and they're toxic as hell, let them know you deserve so much better and you're not going to take it any more. Maybe even consider cutting those people out of your life if you feel like that's what you have to do.
If this is more of a situation, though, you can absolutely tackle this. Break it up into pieces if you have to, but you can absolutely get it done. Believe that you are more than capable of doing whatever needs to be done because you can.
You've got this. I believe in you all!
